Canada's leading arts incubator, The Theatre Centre, hosts an annual fundraiser — Bounce Gala (an informal ball). It is an event for business leaders, artists and philanthropists to collectively share in their commitment to the arts and the further development of The Theatre Centre. The theme for the 2015 gala was "house party" to reflect upon the first year within its new home — the newly renovated Carnegie Library in West Queen West, Toronto.
Commissioned to lead the art auction portion of the event the primary design challenge was to add value to the gala while competing with performance art, music, speeches and passed food and drink while leveraging the newly established branding. The exhibit took advantage of large wall space and featured oversized artwork with substantial wayfinding signage to quickly draw the attention of patrons.
Numbered podiums were designed in a circle to reflect the Bounce Gala symbol - a bouncing ball. Using scale again to draw the attention of patrons in a busy environment.
Additional vinyl signs with artist information were created to provide patrons further details on the investment.
To create a cohesive graphic treatment food menus and info cards were created to match the style of the art exhibition.
